Izzy Khamish: Editor-In-Chief

Izzy is a Senior at Staples High School in Westport, CT. She rows competitively and is passionate about computer science, math, and criminal law. From a young age, Izzy's captivation with crime documentaries and courtroom proceedings has fueled her passion for criminal law.

Lily Rimm: Editor-In-Chief

Lily is a Senior at Staples High School in Westport, CT. She serves as the president of the Mock Trial Club, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Lily aspires to be a lawyer, and hopes to use Lawfully Speaking as an outlet for her passion for law and activism.

    Noah is a Senior. He is the captain of the Staples Varsity tennis team, enjoys singing and playing piano, and loves to be an active participant in his community through helping others. He hopes to use his leadership role to help organize and write interesting and thought-provoking articles.

    Addison is a current Senior and can be found running on both the Staples High School indoor and outdoor track teams. Addy is passionate about writing, and hopes to use her outreach skills to grow the newspaper.

    Katherine is a Senior. She does game day and competitive cheerleading and is a paper opinions editor on Inklings. Katherine does volunteer work through her Church, SLOGS, and is secretary in the LatinX club. She loves to reading, writing, and has a passion for journalism

    Lucas is a Senior (class of 2025). He plays tennis competitively and enjoys spending his time playing his guitar. He hopes to use his position to both inform those around him as well as encourage them to get involved in the issues which directly affect them.

    Nolan Francis is Junior. When not spending time with his family, he is most likely swimming for Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club. Nolan has grown up around a family of lawyers which has sparked his curiosity surrounding law. Nolan looks forward to being a Senior Editor at Lawfully Speaking and continuing his law-based writing throughout his high school career.

    Sorel is a Senior. She is involved in Staples Players, tennis, chamber orchestra, and in her free time enjoys crafting. She looks forward to being able to use her voice to further the discussion of important issues.

    My name is Matthew “Mattie Guadarrama. I am graduating in 2025 and am a Senior this year. I enjoy playing tennis, piano, and guitar, and I’m looking forward to writing and editing articles about the law and potentially writing opinion articles on matters I find important.

    Ryder is a Senior. He is the editor of the Staples yearbook, an active member in the Northeastern cabinet for Junior State of America, as well as a music lover. He strives to use his position to educate and inform his community on pressing issues affecting those around him.

    Demi is a Senior and an avid writer as well as reader. She is involved in inklings, where she serves as the Paper Opinions editor. Aside from writing, Demi is a tennis player at Staples.

    Audrey is a Senior. While passionate in humans rights advocation and law she spends the majority of her free time advancing her photography. Through art she hopes to express injustice and inequity faced by those around her.
